Rose Floral Water
Toning, hydrating, soothing, pH balancing, anti-inflammatory, mood uplifting, gentle astringent
Rose hydrosol (rose water) is the aromatic aqueous co-product obtained during the steam distillation of fresh Damask rose (Rosa damascena) petals for essential oil production. When rose petals are steam-distilled, the essential oil (rose otto) floats to the surface of the distillate while the remaining water becomes saturated with the water-soluble aromatic and therapeutic compounds of the rose, creating a gentle yet effective floral water. Our rose hydrosol is produced from Damask roses cultivated in Yunnan Province at high altitudes, hand-picked before sunrise when the essential oil content peaks, and immediately distilled in copper stills to preserve the delicate aromatic profile. Unlike products made by simply adding essential oil to water, true rose hydrosol contains the complete spectrum of water-soluble rose constituents, providing a gentle, balanced, and multifaceted therapeutic profile suitable for even the most sensitive skin.

Gentle, universal facial toner suitable for all skin types but particularly valued for dry, mature, sensitive, and reactive skin. Used as the aqueous phase in cream and lotion formulations, providing natural rose aroma without synthetic fragrance. Spray-on facial mist, makeup setting spray, and after-sun soothing spray. The slightly acidic pH (4.5-5.0) helps restore the skin's natural acid mantle.
Emotionally uplifting and calming body and room mist. Safe for use around children, elderly, and during pregnancy when essential oils may be contraindicated. Store in tightly sealed containers in a cool, dark place. Hydrosols are preservative-free; refrigerate after opening and use within 3-6 months. For long-term storage, add a broad-spectrum cosmetic preservative. Shelf life (unopened): 12-18 months refrigerated; 6-12 months at room temperature. Monitor for any off-odors or visible microbial growth.
Under recommended storage conditions — tightly sealed in a cool, dry environment away from direct sunlight — Rose Hydrosol remains stable for 2 to 3 years. Monitor for any changes in aroma, color, or viscosity before use in production batches.
Rose Hydrosol is steam distillation (co-product) from the fresh rose petals of a plant in the Rosaceae family. This method preserves the full spectrum of volatile aromatic compounds and bioactive constituents that define the oil''s therapeutic and sensory profile.
Every shipment includes a Certificate of Analysis (COA) detailing the batch-specific chemical profile (GC/MS or GC-FID), physical parameters (specific gravity, refractive index, optical rotation), and organoleptic assessment. Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS/SDS) is also provided. Additional documentation — including GC/MS chromatograms, pesticide residue analysis, heavy metal testing, and allergen statements — is available upon request.
