Rosemary
Invigorating, improves respiratory health, treats indigestion, promotes hair growth
Rosemary oil is steam-distilled from the fresh flowering tops and leaves of Rosmarinus officinalis L. (syn. Salvia rosmarinus), an aromatic evergreen shrub indigenous to the Mediterranean region. The essential oil exists in several distinct chemotypes—most importantly, the 1,8-cineole type (preferred for respiratory and medicinal applications), the camphor-borneol type (used in topical analgesic preparations), and the verbenone type (gentler, preferred for skincare and aromatherapy). Our rosemary oil is predominantly of the cineole type, rich in 1,8-cineole and α-pinene, sourced from plantation cultivation in China. Rosemary oil is a powerful natural antioxidant—its carnosic acid and carnosol content makes it one of the most effective natural preservatives for lipid-containing formulations, and rosemary extract (E392) is an EU-approved food antioxidant.

Prized for hair care applications—rosemary oil is clinically studied for promoting hair growth (comparable to minoxidil 2% in one notable study for androgenetic alopecia) and improving scalp health. Used in anti-dandruff shampoos, hair growth serums, and scalp treatments. In skincare, its antioxidant and antimicrobial properties make it valuable in anti-acne and anti-aging formulations.
Rosemary extract (E392) is authorized as a food antioxidant in the EU, US, and many other jurisdictions. Used to extend the shelf life of fats, oils, meat products, and baked goods by preventing lipid oxidation. The essential oil itself is used as a natural flavoring in savory foods, sauces, and meat preparations, particularly in Mediterranean cuisine.
Associated with mental clarity, focus, and memory enhancement—the phrase "rosemary for remembrance" dates to ancient Greece. Diffused in study and work environments for its stimulating, clarifying effect. Used in massage oils (2–3%) for muscular aches, poor circulation, and mental fatigue. Combined with peppermint and lemon for morning focus blends.
Carminative, antispasmodic, and rubefacient—used in topical analgesic balms, liniments, and chest rubs for its warming, pain-relieving effect. Rosemary oil and its isolated constituents (1,8-cineole, camphor) are listed in multiple pharmacopoeias. In vitro and in vivo studies support antimicrobial, antioxidant, and hepatoprotective activities.

Custom packaging and private labeling available upon request.
Store in tightly sealed containers in a cool, dry location away from light. Shelf life: 2 years. 1,8-Cineole and α-pinene are relatively stable; monitor for peroxide formation in partially filled containers.
Under recommended storage conditions — tightly sealed in a cool, dry environment away from direct sunlight — Rosemary Oil remains stable for 2 to 3 years. Monitor for any changes in aroma, color, or viscosity before use in production batches.
Rosemary Oil is steam distillation from the leaves and flower tops of a plant in the Lamiaceae family. This method preserves the full spectrum of volatile aromatic compounds and bioactive constituents that define the oil''s therapeutic and sensory profile.
Every shipment includes a Certificate of Analysis (COA) detailing the batch-specific chemical profile (GC/MS or GC-FID), physical parameters (specific gravity, refractive index, optical rotation), and organoleptic assessment. Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS/SDS) is also provided. Additional documentation — including GC/MS chromatograms, pesticide residue analysis, heavy metal testing, and allergen statements — is available upon request.
