Essential Oil

Patchouli Oil

Patchouli

Calming, aphrodisiac, astringent

Product Description

Patchouli oil is steam-distilled from the dried, slightly fermented leaves of Pogostemon cablin, a bushy herb native to Southeast Asia. The oil matures and improves with age—freshly distilled oil has a sharp, green character that deepens into a rich, sweet, balsamic aroma over 6–12 months. Our Guangdong-grown patchouli is cultivated under GAP (Good Agricultural Practice), harvested 2–3 times per year, and shade-dried before distillation to maximize oil yield and patchouli alcohol content.
