Essential Oil

Lavandin Oil

Lavandin (Lavandula hybrida)

Antiseptic, relaxing, refreshing, respiratory support, insect repellent

Product Description

Lavandin oil is steam-distilled from the flowering tops of Lavandula x intermedia (syn. L. hybrida), a sterile hybrid between true lavender (L. angustifolia) and spike lavender (L. latifolia). First cultivated commercially in France in the 1920s, lavandin has since become the dominant lavender-type oil in global production due to its higher yield and more vigorous growth. Our lavandin is cultivated in Xinjiang, China, where the high-altitude, sunny, and dry climate mirrors that of Provence. The oil has a fresh, camphoraceous-lavender aroma, distinctly sharper and more penetrating than true lavender due to its higher camphor and 1,8-cineole content. Fresure supplies both standard and Grosso variety lavandin oil in bulk, making it an economical and effective alternative for mass-market fragrance, cleaning products, and aromatherapy applications.
