Ylang Ylang
Hormone balancing, hair care, skin conditioning
Ylang ylang oil is steam-distilled from the freshly harvested flowers of Cananga odorata forma genuina, a tropical tree native to the Philippines and Indonesia, now widely cultivated in Madagascar, the Comoros Islands (the world's largest producers), and Réunion. The oil is fractionated during distillation into grades — Extra, I, II, and III — based on the timing of the distillate collection; Extra is collected in the first 1–2 hours and has the highest ester content and most refined floral character, while subsequent grades are progressively richer in sesquiterpenes with a heavier, more tenacious aroma. Our ylang ylang is sourced from Madagascar (Grade A/B) and domestic Chinese plantations, offering both premium and economy grades.

One of the most important floral ingredients in perfumery, forming the heart of countless floral, oriental, and aldehydic compositions. The Extra grade provides a refined, narcotic floralcy; lower grades contribute depth and fixation. Ylang ylang is a key ingredient in Chanel No. 5 (alongside rose and jasmine), and remains indispensable in prestige perfumery despite growing concerns about sustainable sourcing.
An iconic ingredient in hair oils and treatments across Southeast Asian, Indian, and Afro-Caribbean beauty traditions. Ylang ylang is believed to stimulate the scalp, balance sebum production, and promote healthy hair growth. Used in premium shampoos, conditioners, hair oils, and scalp serums. Combined with coconut oil and jasmine in traditional hair treatments (monoi-style preparations).
Associated with sensuality, relaxation, and mood elevation. Ylang ylang is used for stress, anxiety, and insomnia; its sweet, floral aroma is both calming and euphoric. It has a reputation as an aphrodisiac in aromatherapy traditions. Combined with bergamot, lavender, and clary sage in relaxation and mood-lifting blends. At higher concentrations, the aroma can become overwhelming; in skilled blending, it adds incomparable sweet-floral depth.
Bergamot, Black Pepper, Frankincense, Geranium, Jasmine, Lavender, Lemon, Neroli, Patchouli, Rose, Sandalwood, Sweet Orange, Vetiver — the quintessential floralizer, adding sweetness, diffusion, and sensuality to virtually any blend

Custom packaging and private labeling available upon request.
Store in tightly sealed containers in a cool (<25°C), dark environment. Shelf life: 3–5 years. The high ester content (particularly benzyl acetate and benzyl benzoate) makes ylang ylang relatively stable; oxidation products may develop in poorly stored, partially filled containers.
Under recommended storage conditions — tightly sealed in a cool, dry environment away from direct sunlight — Ylang Ylang Oil remains stable for 2 to 3 years. Monitor for any changes in aroma, color, or viscosity before use in production batches.
Ylang Ylang Oil is steam distillation from the flowers of a plant in the Annonaceae family. This method preserves the full spectrum of volatile aromatic compounds and bioactive constituents that define the oil''s therapeutic and sensory profile.
Every shipment includes a Certificate of Analysis (COA) detailing the batch-specific chemical profile (GC/MS or GC-FID), physical parameters (specific gravity, refractive index, optical rotation), and organoleptic assessment. Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS/SDS) is also provided. Additional documentation — including GC/MS chromatograms, pesticide residue analysis, heavy metal testing, and allergen statements — is available upon request.
