Chamomile Floral Water
Soothing, anti-inflammatory, calming for sensitive skin, baby care, eczema relief, eye compress
Chamomile hydrosol is the aromatic aqueous co-product from the steam distillation of Roman chamomile (Chamaemelum nobile) or German chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla) flowers for essential oil production. The resulting floral water retains the gentle, water-soluble therapeutic compounds of chamomile, including flavonoids, phenolic acids, and trace amounts of chamazulene (imparting a faint blue tint to the fresh distillate). Chamomile hydrosol is the mildest form of chamomile therapy, gentle enough for baby care, eye compresses, and the most reactive skin conditions. Our chamomile hydrosol is produced from organically cultivated German chamomile flowers grown in Anhui Province, harvested at full bloom, and immediately distilled to capture the peak aromatic and therapeutic profile.

Store in tightly sealed containers in a cool, dark place. Chamomile hydrosol is preservative-free; refrigerate after opening and use within 3-6 months. The blue chamazulene color fades with time and light exposure; this is cosmetic and does not affect therapeutic properties. Shelf life (unopened): 12-18 months refrigerated; 6-12 months at room temperature.
Under recommended storage conditions — tightly sealed in a cool, dry environment away from direct sunlight — Chamomile Hydrosol remains stable for 2 to 3 years. Monitor for any changes in aroma, color, or viscosity before use in production batches.
Chamomile Hydrosol is steam distillation (co-product) from the fresh chamomile flowers of a plant in the Asteraceae family. This method preserves the full spectrum of volatile aromatic compounds and bioactive constituents that define the oil''s therapeutic and sensory profile.
Every shipment includes a Certificate of Analysis (COA) detailing the batch-specific chemical profile (GC/MS or GC-FID), physical parameters (specific gravity, refractive index, optical rotation), and organoleptic assessment. Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS/SDS) is also provided. Additional documentation — including GC/MS chromatograms, pesticide residue analysis, heavy metal testing, and allergen statements — is available upon request.
